Beaumont Police Department
In 1982, I moved to and completed initial Law Enforcement training in Beaumont Texas. I worked 3 years as a Spanish Speaking officer in the inner cities. During my time in Beaumont, I was able to patrol different areas, get to know the citizens, and work with the youth. The youth has always been one of my top priorities. I worked to start a Boy Scout Troop with local male youth during a time when racial separation was still very prominent in those areas. These years taught me even more about serving the communities and treating others with kindness.

40 Years Experience in Law Enforcement
Windham County Sheriffs Department
After three years in Beaumont Texas, the opportunity arose to work at the Windham County Sheriffs department. Longtime Sheriff Bill Graham hired me. I went up through the ranks at the Windham County Sheriffs Department. I was the County juvenile officer. I spent a lot of time in the schools and taught the children about bicycle safety, stranger danger, drug awareness, and other important things for children to learn about safety. During those years, I also taught the Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program in many schools and was the lead investigator for any type of child abuse. In 1991, I took a 4 year break to move to Wisconsin, In 1995, I was rehired to work at the Windham County Sheriffs Office where, I worked up until 2001.

Some of my proudest moments were working with the youth.

In 2001, I changed Departments and began working at the Windsor County Sheriffs Department. Knowing long time Sheriff Mike Chamberlain from Windham County, I was happy to work for and with him again. Since, I was teaching the Drug Awaresss program in the schools in Windham County, I began to teach the Drug Awareness program in several schools in Windsor County. When I was not in the schools, I was also doing patrol work.
Through the years, I was dedicated to the Sheriffs Department continued to work my way up to be the Captain, underneath Sheriff Mike Chamberlain for many years. In 2023, I was about to retire as the Sheriffs had just changed. The opportunity was presented for me to stay on to continue to help support the Sheriffs Department with scheduling and civil process. I decided to take the opportunity and continued to work at the department. In January 2026, I was asked if I would lead the department.
