Meet Claude Weyant

Born and raised in Binghamton NY on a small beef farm out in the country. I attended Susquehanna Valley High School graduating in 1973. During my high school years, I was a three season athlete. Football, wrestling and baseball. During those years, I worked my way up and became an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. For two years I was a member of the President's physical fitness team.

Shortly after high school I went to Mexico and served a two year volunteer mission. It was a lot of hard work living in some pretty rough areas in a third world country. It taught me to appreciate what we have here in this country and to love and serve the people.

After returning home, I moved to Idaho to work on a dairy farm. There I met my beautiful wife Carol. In our early years, we moved across country, worked two dairy farms and had three boys. While farming, I learned the value of hard work. That has been a value that has helped me throughout my life.

In 1982, with baby #4 on the way, we decided to make a change. I had always been interested in Law Enforcement. In Beaumont Texas, they were advertising the serious need for Spanish speaking Law Enforcement Officers. We uprooted and moved to the south where we had our fourth child, a daughter.

In the years to come, we adventured back to New England, to Newfane where I worked for Windham County Sheriffs Office. A few years later, we decide to make a change and move to Wisconsin to try our hand at dairy farming again. Four years running a family farm with my wife and 4 children. We added two more children, a son and daughter.

In 1994, after struggling for a while, we packed up an moved back to Vermont where I worked at Brattleboro Police Dept until I had the opportunity to get my job back in Windham County. Since then I have moved to Windsor County, children have grown up and our family has settled in Windsor Vermont.
